Footprint Grove
Holding space for memories, not clutter.
Today’s aging generation is the first to truly confront the concept of a digital legacy.
Alongside traditional estate planning and supporting aging parents, this generation faces a host of new responsibilities: managing digital footprints, retrieving passwords, and securing online assets.
These challenges require new solutions that bridge emotional needs and practical demands.
This digital legacy is complex—overwhelming families with the logistical demands of managing accounts, photos, and cloud-stored documents.
Approximately
402.74 million terabytes
of data are generated each day globally
Amount of Content Created Daily, 2024, Fabio Duarte
For instance, it is estimated that storing profiles for deceased Facebook users in the U.S. could cost around
$67 million annually by 2100, assuming storage costs remain constant
ExpressVPN, "Deceased accounts...outnumber the living" Atika Lim, 2024
And each of these digital assets has an environmental footprint.
The energy it takes to store inactive data has real-world consequences.
We’ve created a solution thatsimplifies digital legacy managementwhile prioritizing sustainability.

AI TOOL USAGE
I leveraged AI tools like ChatGPT, DALL-E, Adobe Photoshop & Firefly to rapidly explore and iterate on design ideas, from visual mock-ups to taglines and user interface elements.
By using AI to generate diverse design solutions quickly, I was able to experiment with various aesthetics and brand personalities before settling on a cohesive direction.
AI allowed me to bring the brand’s identity—eco-conscious, compassionate, and supportive—to life through multiple creative concepts, each tailored to Footprint Grove’s unique mission.
CREATIVITY x AI
I used ChatGPT for brainstorming, refining concepts, and generating text-based elements like taglines, prompts, and conversational responses for Kindred.
DALL-E and Firefly helped develop illustrative mock-ups, UI elements, and even a conceptual portrait of Kindred, allowing for a cohesive brand identity.
These tools enabled me to keep refining and adapting ideas in real-time, responding to feedback quickly and ensuring that each visual or text element was aligned with Footprint Grove’s brand values.
AI FEEDBACK
Feedback was integral to the design process, allowing me to fine-tune elements based on real-world reactions and improve clarity, warmth, and usability.
For instance, by iterating on the Kindred avatar and UI elements based on feedback, I was able to craft an interface that feels both inviting and functional.
Each round of feedback helped enhance Kindred’s persona, improve user experience, and align the visuals more closely with the brand’s values of compassion and sustainability.
